We were very pleased to have been asked by Second Cup to design their 2014 holiday campaign. A challenge in the sense that one of Second Cup’s largest competitors uses traditional, seasonal colours for their holiday creative and corporate branding. To overcome that challenge we chose to use a colour palette that would stand out in a sea of red and green and add a level of sophistication to all of Second Cup’s holiday communications material. We also commissioned talented UK illustrator Laura Barnard to work with us in developing a very detailed illustration that would, not only represent a sense of community and holiday tradition but also, offer customers an opportunity to take a moment to lose themselves in the spirit of the holiday.
The social media response to our 2014 holiday cup design has been overwhelmingly positive. We couldn’t be happier!
